暑い夏の日、夕食のテーブルに溶けるカマンベールチーズに想を得て描かれたとされ、“柔らかい時計”でも知られるシュールレアリズム絵画を代表するダリの最高傑作。作家本人曰く「手で描かれた夢の写真」とのこと。
The most famous Dali’s painting well-known for its melting pocket watch. The original idea was from half eaten Camembert cheese of his dinner table on a hot summer day. It was described as “hand-painted dream photograph” by Dali himself.
